About Annamarina

I originally began writing this blog to share my experiences during my training for the NYC Marathon, which I completed on November 1, 2009.  After taking a year off from blogging, I’ve decided to return to writing this blog, which I truly do enjoy and have missed.

I moved to the Los Angeles area in 2008 from Virginia Beach to marry the most wonderful man in the world!  Since moving to sunny Southern California, I have embraced a healthier lifestyle, which includes eating more natural, organic, and “real” food, buying local produce as often as possible, running and exercising, and attempting to live more sustainably.  Not only do I like writing about running and fitness, I also enjoy sharing meal ideas and “green” living tips.

My husband and I are expecting our first child in April (we are thrilled!), so the focus of this blog will definitely be changing a bit.  I can’t wait to share more running “tails” after our baby boy arrives, but I plan to incorporate a wider variety of topics as well.

The “Tails” part of this blog refers to my Golden Retriever, Cali.  She is my running buddy and loves being featured on the blog.  In fact, in all honesty, she is the star of this blog:

  11. Hi! I saw your link in Bobbi’s email so I wanted to reach out and say hello! If you are a definite for her relay team, then I will be one of your teammates! I live in Northern Cal, but will take the day off from teaching to drive south for some fun. I was at LMU for a summer for training for my teaching program so I love your pictures that you post because it reminds me of running through your area when I was there! You have my email now, so feel free to send a response back! Can’t wait to meet!
